South India OTT June 2026: End of Month Full Report

June 2026 has been the strongest month for South Indian OTT content since the beginning of the year. Platform investment has reached the level where comparisons to Hindi-language streaming are no longer embarrassing — for Telugu, in particular, the gap has largely closed. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada all contributed titles worth tracking this month.

Kannada: KGF: Chapter 2 on Prime Video remains the pan-India crossover benchmark.

Aha leads South Indian OTT performance in June by a significant margin — the platform's Telugu-first strategy and its willingness to invest in prestige production values have created a quality gap. Bheemla Nayak, Karthikeya 2, Dasara, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata define Aha's catalog strength. SunNXT holds 96, Super Deluxe, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, and Pa Paandi — essential Tamil catalog. SonyLIV's Malayalam originals are the strongest regional content on any pan-India platform. Prime Video India remains the dominant acquisition platform across all South Indian languages.
