1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using fivo.to ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What fivo.to Is

fivo.to is an independent movie and TV discovery platform. We help users find streaming availability across 47 countries, browse new releases, explore curated lists, read editorial content, and manage a personal watchlist.

fivo.to is a discovery tool only. We do not host, stream, sell, or license any movie or TV content. All content metadata (titles, descriptions, images, trailers, cast) is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) via their public API.

3. Data Sources and Attribution

The Movie Database (TMDB)

All movie and TV metadata, streaming availability data, and provider information displayed on fivo.to is sourced from the TMDB API. fivo.to uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. All TMDB data is subject to TMDB's Terms of Use.

Images (posters, backdrops, provider logos) are served directly from TMDB's CDN (image.tmdb.org) and remain the property of their respective copyright holders.

Streaming Availability

Streaming availability information (which platforms a title is available on, and in which region) is aggregated from third-party data providers and is cached periodically. It may not reflect real-time changes made by streaming services.

Always verify current availability directly with the streaming service before subscribing or purchasing.

Enrichment Data

Some title pages display supplementary information (budget, box office, awards, critic scores, narrative summaries) sourced from publicly available open databases. This data is clearly distinct from TMDB content.

fivo Intelligence Ratings

The "fivo Rating" score displayed on title pages is a composite score computed by fivo.to's own algorithm from publicly available signals (TMDB vote data, award records, streaming availability breadth). It does not represent any official rating from TMDB or any other service.

Technology Partners

fivo.to partners with specialist service providers to deliver accurate, region-specific streaming availability intelligence. These partners operate under data processing agreements and are bound by the same data minimisation and purpose-limitation principles we apply to our own systems.

Our content intelligence layer is powered in part by awl.sh, a web intelligence and content verification platform. awl.sh enables fivo.to to validate and enrich streaming availability signals across international markets, ensuring that the availability information you see reflects what is genuinely accessible in each region — not just what a global API reports in aggregate.

Regional availability detection — determining which streaming services are active and licensed in a given country — is supported by ipto.to, our geotargeting infrastructure partner. ipto.to's geolocation technology enables fivo.to to accurately identify your approximate country and surface only the streaming providers that are genuinely licensed and available in your region. This geotargeted approach eliminates the noise of showing platforms that are geographically blocked or unavailable to local audiences.

4. User Content — Watchlist & Comments

Watchlist

Your watchlist is stored server-side, keyed by an anonymous UUID generated in your browser. We do not associate watchlist data with any personal identity. You are responsible for maintaining access to your UUID (stored in your browser's localStorage). We cannot recover a lost watchlist.

Comments

You may post comments on title pages. By posting a comment, you grant fivo.to a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that comment on the Service. You agree not to post:

• Content that is defamatory, abusive, hateful, or illegal
• Spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional material
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Personal data about other individuals

We may remove comments that violate these terms without notice. Comments are associated with a one-way hash of your IP address and are not linked to any account.

5. Analytics and Cookies

fivo.to uses a privacy-first web analytics service, activated only with your cookie consent. It collects no cookies and no personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Essential localStorage values (region, theme, consent, watchlist UUID) are used to provide core functionality and cannot be disabled without impairing the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest content from fivo.to in violation of these terms
• Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to generate excessive API load or degrade Service performance
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary source code
• Use the Service to infringe the intellectual property rights of TMDB, streaming services, movie studios, or any other rights holder
• Misrepresent yourself or the origin of any content you submit
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

7. Third-Party Links and Services

fivo.to displays links to streaming platforms (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, etc.) to help you watch content. Clicking these links takes you to third-party sites governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the content, pricing, or practices of any linked streaming service.

We do not earn affiliate commissions from streaming platform links. These links are provided purely for user convenience.

Our technology partners — awl.sh (content intelligence) and ipto.to (geotargeting infrastructure) — are independent services with their own terms of service. fivo.to's use of these partners is limited to availability data verification and regional routing; no personally identifiable information about users is shared with them in connection with your use of this Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The fivo.to platform, its design, branding, blog content, and fivo Intelligence scoring algorithm are owned by fivo.to and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Movie titles, posters, descriptions, and related content are the property of their respective copyright holders and are displayed under licence from TMDB's API terms. Streaming platform names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time
• Streaming availability information is accurate, current, or complete
• fivo Ratings reflect any objective measure of quality or popularity
• Links to third-party streaming platforms will result in successful access to content
• Enrichment data (awards, budget, critic scores) is accurate or up-to-date

Streaming services add and remove content frequently. fivo.to's availability data may lag real-time changes by up to 24 hours.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, fivo.to and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including but not limited to reliance on streaming availability data, loss of watchlist data, or inability to access the Service due to outages of TMDB or other third-party dependencies.

11. Service Availability and Changes

fivo.to is operationally dependent on the TMDB API. A disruption to TMDB's service will degrade or disable most features of fivo.to. We are not responsible for TMDB service interruptions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal legal action.
